Volunteering is an important aspect of any hospital, and UAMS is no
exception. Our volunteers are a vital part of day-to-day operations at
our hospital. We have people of all ages and all demographics that
donate hours of their time to enrich our patients' time at UAMS.
Volunteers get the opportunity to provide help and comfort to
patients in a variety of different ways. Whatever your skills and
talents are, we have a place for you to serve. We have positions that
help patients directly and opportunities to work more behind the scenes.
We offer a wide range of activities including:
- Reading to patients
- Assisting with major events
- Working in department offices
- Helping in the gift shop
When you sign up as a volunteer, you are not making a weekly or
regular commitment to volunteer, although we would love for you to
volunteer as much as your schedule allows. You give whatever time you
have available.
